Community Symphony Orchestra to present “Concert Under the Stars”

On Friday, June 17th, the Northern Chesapeake Symphony Orchestra (NCSO), directed by Dr. Nelson Fritts, will present a “Concert Under the Stars” at Dove Valley Winery.

The orchestra began in 2019 and has performed throughout the community during the past three years. The ensemble works in partnership with the Cecil County Arts Council and its Board of Directors represent a number of constituencies in Cecil, Harford and Kent Counties. The full ensemble has 29 players who come from the surrounding Maryland and Delaware areas. The members’ ages range from 14 to 76.

The NCSO String Quartet, String Orchestra, and Full Orchestra will perform during the program. Selections will include works by Beethoven, Cohen, Gliere, Grieg, Holst, Mozart, Rameau, and Strauss. Dove Valley is located at 645 Harrington Road, Rising Sun, MD. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m. The doors open at 7:00 to purchase beverages and food. Admission is free but donations
will be accepted. Please bring chairs or blankets.
