Please join the NEFC at their 100th Anniversary Parade celebrating the North East Fire Company, Inc., and our community. The parade will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 12-noon rain or shine.
The parade will line up from Red Toad Road and W. Old Philadelphia Road. The only exception will be fire apparatus that will enter the town from Rt. 272 and will line up on Main Street prior to the traffic light at Main and Cecil. Units will then follow South on Main Street to Walnut Street where they will turn left and follow Rt. 272 back to the North East Fire Company. Prizes for parade participants will also be given out after the parade at the firehouse.
Arrangements have been made to stage ambulances and fire apparatus that will handle emergency calls during the parade. Please know, your requests for assistance will be answered if needed.
For safety and security, parking will be prohibited on Main Street during the parade. Please find alternative parking during this activity. We are fully aware this could have an impact on our town’s normal course of business. We apologize in advance for any inconveniences this may create and thank you for your understanding as we celebrate this milestone in our history.
Following the parade, you are welcome to join us at the firehouse for fun and games, fellowship, food, beverages, and firehouse memorabilia. The Olivia Reynolds Band will also be appearing to provide entertainment for the afternoon.
Zero Degrees running specials on waffle dog and hot chocolate combo; funnel cake, caramel apple funnel cake; and hot chocolate!!
Snatchers will be displaying balloons and wearing red plus 20% discount to all firefighters that come in on Saturday. they will also be placing a donation box for NEFC in their restaurant all weekend.
Silver and Sassy will be running specials on certain merchandise and will have a boot to collect donations for NEFC.
