In celebration of National Library Week (April 6-13) The North East Chamber of Commerce and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Cecil County have partnered to host a Poetry Scavenger Hunt along Main Street in North East, MD!
The event is Saturday, April 13th 10am-4pm and Sunday, April 14th from 1-4pm starting at The Little House on the Green (126 S. Main Street, North East, MD).
This is an ALL AGES event.

*The registration fee sponsors monthly books for one child for a year! Each team can have any number of members.
Here’s what’s at the event:
- Hourly story times with local celebrity readers at The Little House on the Green! These are free and open to all, no participation in the Scavenger Hunt is required. Click Here for the Reader Schedules.
- Scavenger hunt clues will take you all over Downtown North East!
- Solve the clues to find the pieces of a special poem about Dolly & Imagination Library!
- Grab a snack at one of the Dine & Donate participating local eateries.
- Register your child for Imagination Library!
- Each team that completes the hunt will be entered into a drawing for fun prizes! The drawing will be held on Sunday, 4/14 at 3:30pm at The Little House on the Green.
- Enjoy the Cecil County Public Library Bookmobile during the event on Saturday, April 13th from 10am-12pm.
- Read along the “Story Trail” posted throughout The Green, provided by the Cecil County Public Library
